  Timber

Our preferred timbers are Paulownia and Western Red Cedar. With Paulownia being the main timber used because of its superior light weight and strength. Because of its ability not to absorb water and resistance to rotting it has become the timber of choice.

The Paulownia used to make our surfboards is all plantation grown in Australia; it is handpicked for its natural grain and beauty with only the best quality used.
The Western Red Cedar we use is mainly recycled and matches well with the Paulownia

Glassing

NCS_at_Byron

All our surfboards are now glassed in polyester resin at North Coast Surfboards in Byron Bay in NSW. These guys manufacture Bear, Donald Takayama Hawaiian Pro Design and some of Geoff McCoy boards and their glassing is world class.
I am very pleased that Evan and the crew are glassing our boards.

Fins

wiz finz

Wiz Finz are now used in all are boards, hand made in Byron Bay by "The Wiz" Wayne Rickards, they are some of the best fins available.
